Biography
Abdelghani Belgaid is a member of the technical team at the National Financial Intelligence Authority, where he builds data and analytics capabilities for national security. Prior to this position, he served as a research engineer at the Bioinformatics Laboratory of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and as a consultant for leading public and private organizations.
His career spans multiple strategic sectors, including manufacturing, banking, agriculture, public utilities, and national security. It follows one consistent thread: operating emerging technologies to modernize strategic systems and create measurable impact. His mission is driven by contributing to Morocco’s technological sovereignty, strengthening national innovation capacity, and preparing the next generation of builders capable of carrying the ambitions forward.
Abdelghani has earned multiple medals in data science competitions, contributed to open-source software projects, and published in leading scientific venues. He is also an active community builder, contributing to MoroccoAI, Moroccan AI Research (MAIR), Turba Open Lab, and other collaborative initiatives that advance technological capacity-building in Morocco.
Abdelghani holds a master’s degree in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the College of Computing at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and is pursuing a master’s degree in Quantum Computing Technology at the School of Computer Systems Engineering of the Technical University of Madrid. He also holds a Diploma in Financial Management and Management Accounting from the National School of Business and Management at the Abdelmalek Essaâdi University.
